WHEELDRIVE – AION V continues to demonstrate strong and consistent sales momentum in the first quarter of 2026, reinforcing its position in the increasingly competitive C-SUV EV segment. As the global electric vehicle (EV) market expands, this performance highlights growing consumer confidence in AION V’s balance of technology, efficiency, and overall value.
According to wholesale industry data, AION V recorded 238 units sold in March 2026, reflecting stable performance despite ongoing market fluctuations. This consistency underscores its resilience and competitiveness within the rapidly evolving electric SUV market.
The latest market developments also point to a shift in consumer behavior. Rather than focusing solely on brand or early market leaders, buyers are increasingly prioritizing practical value, including technology, efficiency, and total cost of ownership (TCO) when choosing an electric vehicle.
All AION V units are locally assembled (CKD – Completely Knocked Down), enabling greater production efficiency and improved supply chain reliability. This approach not only supports more competitive pricing but also ensures better availability of units, spare parts, and after-sales services.

A more localized supply chain contributes to shorter delivery times and a more integrated service ecosystem, providing greater peace of mind for customers. AION V further strengthens this with comprehensive after-sales programs, including vehicle and battery warranties designed to support long-term ownership.
“Consumers today have a broader understanding of the value of electric vehicles. CKD is not only about affordability, but also about certainty—from availability to long-term ownership benefits,” said Andry Ciu, CEO of GAC Indonesia.
Amid global energy price volatility, consumers are shifting their focus from initial purchase cost to long-term ownership efficiency. Fluctuating fuel prices have accelerated interest in EVs as a more stable and cost-efficient mobility solution.
“Amid uncertainty in global energy prices, we are seeing a clear shift toward long-term efficiency. AION V offers not only advanced technology and comfort, but also strong economic value for everyday use,” Andry Ciu added.
Designed to meet modern mobility needs, AION V offers a driving range of up to 602 km, powered by a 75.3 kWh LFP battery, and supports fast charging up to 280 kW, making it suitable for both daily commuting and long-distance travel.
Enhancing practicality, AION V features an in-car refrigerator that keeps food and beverages fresh during journeys. This feature includes three modes—freezing, refrigerating, and heating—allowing users to adjust cabin storage temperatures based on their needs.
In terms of safety, AION V is equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring. The driving experience is further elevated by a spacious cabin, panoramic roof, and an integrated infotainment system that delivers a premium feel.

With consistent market performance, strong product positioning, and comprehensive features, AION V continues to strengthen its standing as a compelling option in the electric SUV segment.
Priced starting from IDR 465 million (OTR Jakarta), AION V offers a competitive combination of technology, efficiency, and long-term value, making it increasingly relevant in today’s fast-growing EV market.
As the industry moves toward sustainable mobility, efficiency, and long-term value, AION V stands not only as an electric vehicle, but as a reflection of the broader shift toward smarter and more sustainable transportation.
