WHEELDRIVE – In celebration of Earth Day 2026, MODENA Group reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability through a series of impactful environmental initiatives carried out throughout the year.
The company continues to strengthen its long-term sustainability strategy by transforming logistics operations through MOLOGIZ, expanding public access to clean drinking water through MODENA Pure Hub, and encouraging responsible consumption through a collaboration with waste management platform Duitin.
As part of its green transformation efforts, MOLOGIZ, MODENA Group’s logistics subsidiary, has started transitioning from diesel-based transportation to electric vehicles (EVs).
This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and building a more sustainable logistics ecosystem. Since December 2025, more than 20% of the MOLOGIZ fleet has been converted to electric vehicles, contributing to a reduction of logistics emissions by up to 50%, equivalent to 2.3 tons of CO₂e.
Through the gradual electrification of its fleet, MODENA aims to minimize its operational carbon footprint while supporting the transition toward low-emission logistics in Indonesia.
Nicole Jizhar, Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Advisor of MODENA, said that sustainability has always been part of the company’s long-term vision.
“Since the beginning of our journey in the industry, MODENA has continuously innovated to provide solutions that not only make life easier but also encourage a more sustainable lifestyle for a better future. This year, we strengthened these efforts not only through internal transformation, but also by driving change together with a broader ecosystem from business operations and access to basic necessities to encouraging shifts in consumer behavior,” she explained.
For decades, MODENA has been widely recognized as a leading home appliance manufacturer known for delivering innovative technology solutions. As environmental challenges and global sustainability concerns continue to grow, the company has expanded its role beyond household technology by introducing initiatives that create direct environmental and social impact.

In addition to its EV transition, MODENA continues to improve access to clean drinking water through MODENA Pure Hub, an initiative designed to provide free public access to safe and sustainable drinking water. As of 2026, MODENA has established 15 free drinking water access points across Jakarta and surrounding areas.
Throughout the year, the company expanded the initiative by installing MODENA Reverse Osmosis Water Purifiers at nine new locations, including JPM Lebak Bulus, a strategic pedestrian bridge connecting Lebak Bulus MRT Station and Poins Square in South Jakarta. Additional locations were also introduced during Ramadan at several public facilities, including Al Azhar Mosque and Al-Bakrie Mosque.
The MODENA Pure Hub initiative has become more than just a refill station network. It represents a broader movement to promote inclusive access to clean water while reducing dependence on single-use plastic bottles.
By April 2026, the initiative had distributed more than one million liters of drinking water to the public, contributing significantly to plastic waste reduction and supporting environmentally responsible urban living.
MODENA also continues to encourage responsible consumption and waste management through its collaboration with Duitin, a digital waste management platform that helps consumers recycle various types of waste more efficiently.
Since January 2026, more than 1,017 kilograms of waste have been collected and managed responsibly through the initiative. The majority of collected waste came from cardboard packaging and used cartons, followed by plastic, glass, and used cooking oil.
Through this collaboration, MODENA encourages consumers to take a more active role in adopting eco-friendly habits and supporting the circular economy. The initiative reflects growing public awareness of sustainable consumption and demonstrates how businesses and consumers can work together to reduce environmental impact through responsible waste management practices.
Nicole Jizhar added that MODENA sees its products and innovations as part of a larger mission to create meaningful environmental impact. “For MODENA, products are no longer merely the end goal, but a medium for delivering impactful solutions from energy efficiency and access to essential resources such as clean water to contributing to the reduction of environmental footprints.
Through these initiatives, we aim to continue playing a role in creating a life that is not only easier, but also better and more sustainable for future generations,” she concluded.
