WHEELDRIVE – PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) officially introduced the Isuzu ELF Refrigerator at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 (GIICOMVEC) 2026 as a commercial vehicle solution designed to support Indonesia’s growing cold chain industry.
Developed in collaboration with Vitrans, the refrigerated truck is built to meet increasing demand for temperature-controlled logistics in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, FMCG, and chemical distribution.
Business Strategy Division Head of PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia, Rian Erlangga, explained that the Isuzu ELF Refrigerator demonstrates how Isuzu continues to develop customer-oriented transportation solutions tailored to evolving business needs.

Built on the Isuzu ELF NMR L chassis, the Isuzu ELF Refrigerator offers one of the largest cargo capacities in its segment. The vehicle provides a rear application area with a maximum length of 5,700 mm and supports a refrigerated cargo box with a capacity of up to 23.9 cubic meters. The spacious cargo area allows businesses to maximize transportation efficiency while maintaining optimal product temperature during delivery operations.
The refrigerated truck application is designed to support various cold chain logistics needs, including pharmaceutical products, frozen food, beverages, FMCG products, and chemical materials requiring temperature stability throughout transportation.
Powering the Isuzu ELF NMR L is a 4,778 cc EURO 4 engine capable of delivering 147.9 hp at 2,600 rpm and torque of 41 kg.m between 1,400–2,600 rpm. The engine performance enables efficient intercity delivery operations while maintaining fuel efficiency and strong acceleration under heavy load conditions.
In addition to performance, the Isuzu ELF Refrigerator also offers lower cabin noise and smoother engine vibrations compared to competitors in the same class. Reduced vibration and quieter cabin conditions help improve driving comfort and operational safety for drivers during long-distance distribution activities.
To support transportation safety, the vehicle is equipped with a reliable braking system that combines front Drum Brakes and an Exhaust Brake system, providing stable braking performance when transporting temperature-sensitive cargo.
