SAG Launches SAG Max and REEV Bus at Busworld Southeast Asia 2026

WHEELDRIVE – PT Sinar Armada Globalindo (SAG) reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating sustainable transportation in Indonesia through the launch of the SAG Max electric van and the introduction of the REEV Bus (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) at Busworld Southeast Asia 2026.

Marking its third participation alongside Golden Dragon at Southeast Asia’s largest bus and commercial vehicle exhibition, SAG unveiled its latest electric mobility innovations to address the growing demand for efficient, low-emission, and long-distance transportation solutions in Indonesia.

The launch reflects SAG’s long-term commitment to supporting the Indonesian government’s Net Zero Emission goals while expanding access to commercial electric vehicles and sustainable public transportation technology.

Since 2018, SAG has partnered with Golden Dragon, one of China’s leading global bus manufacturers, to provide electric vehicle solutions tailored to the Indonesian market. Beyond supplying high-quality vehicle units, the collaboration also focuses on comprehensive after-sales support and reliable technical services to strengthen the country’s transition toward clean mobility.

Djoko Purwanto, Technical Director of PT Sinar Armada Globalindo, highlighted the importance of operational efficiency amid fluctuating fuel prices and rising logistics costs in Indonesia.

“As fuel prices continue to fluctuate and impact transportation costs, efficiency has become increasingly important for business sustainability. Through our electric vehicle innovations, SAG aims to help partners reduce operational expenses while creating long-term economic value,” said Djoko Purwanto.

At the exhibition, SAG officially launched the SAG Max, a commercial electric van designed for urban mobility, shuttle services, and commercial fleet operations. The SAG Max features a 15+1 passenger capacity and offers a driving range of up to 440 kilometers on a single charge, making it suitable for high-mobility transportation needs in urban areas.

In addition to the SAG Max, SAG also introduced the REEV Bus, an innovative low-emission transportation solution designed for long-distance travel and intercity commercial operations. Unlike conventional battery electric vehicles, REEV technology combines electric driving efficiency with extended operational range, helping operators overcome charging infrastructure limitations across several regions in Indonesia.

The 12-meter REEV Bus showcased at Busworld Southeast Asia 2026 is capable of traveling up to 1,600 kilometers, making it highly relevant for intercity transportation routes and commercial operations requiring greater operational flexibility. SAG confirmed that the REEV Bus is scheduled to officially enter the Indonesian market in June 2026.

Alex Chen, Asia Pacific Director of Golden Dragon Bus, expressed optimism about the collaboration between Golden Dragon and SAG in accelerating sustainable transportation adoption in Indonesia.

“The introduction of the REEV Bus reflects our shared commitment with SAG to establish a new benchmark for sustainable public transportation in Indonesia. We believe this technology is highly relevant to Indonesia’s geographical conditions and infrastructure development while delivering optimal performance with lower environmental impact,” said Alex Chen.

Looking ahead, SAG stated that it will continue strengthening strategic partnerships and exploring innovative transportation technologies to support the development of a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable mobility ecosystem across Indonesia.

SAG is participating in Busworld Southeast Asia 2026 from May 20–22, 2026, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, where visitors can experience the SAG Max and REEV Bus firsthand and consult directly with SAG’s expert team regarding electric vehicle integration for commercial and public transportation needs.
