This achievement reinforces Honda’s commitment both globally and in Indonesia to deliver vehicles that are not only environmentally friendly, but also fun to drive.
As electrified vehicles continue to evolve rapidly, most models tend to prioritize efficiency and comfort. However, Honda identifies a growing demand for electrified vehicles that still offer an engaging and sporty driving experience. The Honda Prelude answers this need through a blend of iconic design and performance-oriented hybrid technology.
Powered by Honda’s signature dual-motor hybrid system and enhanced with “Honda S+ Shift” technology, the Honda Prelude delivers a more responsive and dynamic driving feel. This setup is engineered to preserve the essence of a sports car, even within an electrified platform.
The driving experience is further elevated through synchronized engine sound and visual feedback, creating a more intuitive connection between driver and vehicle.
UNLIMITED GLIDE Design Concept
The Honda Prelude adopts the “UNLIMITED GLIDE” design philosophy, featuring a low and wide stance that emphasizes dynamic performance. Its sleek, flowing silhouette from front to rear enhances both aerodynamics and visual lightness.
Inside the cabin, a human-centric approach is evident in the distinct design of the driver and passenger seats, each tailored to deliver sporty engagement and optimal comfort. The blue and white color combination reinforces the model’s modern and emotional appeal.
A Key Model in Honda’s Electrification Lineup
More than just a design award winner, the Honda Prelude plays a strategic role as an icon in Honda’s electrification lineup. It demonstrates how the brand integrates eco-friendly technology with its long-standing sporty DNA.

Honda Prelude in Indonesia
In Indonesia, this direction aligns with Honda’s broader electrification strategy, where hybrid technology remains the most relevant solution for current market needs.
The Honda Prelude was officially introduced in January 2026 and has already recorded over 270 orders. Deliveries for 2026 allocation will begin gradually from May 2026. Customers can still place orders through selected authorized Honda dealers, with the next delivery phases planned for 2027 and 2028.
Other Honda Winners at Red Dot 2026
In addition to the Honda Prelude, the Miimo 1500i/2200i robotic lawn mower also received the Red Dot Award (Winner). Meanwhile, Honda’s electric motorcycle “WN7” and mobility device “UNI-ONE” achieved the highest recognition, Best of the Best.
The Red Dot Design Award, established in Germany in 1955, is one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions, evaluating innovation, functionality, and overall design quality.
