WHEELDRIVE – Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor reinforced its position as the No.1 New Energy Vehicle (NEV) startup after recording a new monthly delivery milestone in April 2026. The achievement was highlighted alongside the company’s strong presence at the Beijing Auto Show 2026, where Leapmotor showcased its latest smart electric vehicle lineup and advanced mobility technologies.
At the Beijing Auto Show 2026, Leapmotor’s exhibition booth attracted major attention from international media, business partners, and consumers, reflecting the company’s rapid growth in the global electric vehicle market.
The showcase featured several newly launched models, including the flagship SUV D19, the Lafa5 Ultra (global name B05), and the compact SUV A10 (global name B03X). The Beijing Auto Show appearance further demonstrated Leapmotor’s aggressive strategy to expand its EV product portfolio while accelerating innovation in intelligent electric mobility solutions.
Leapmotor announced total vehicle deliveries of 71,387 units in April 2026, including domestic sales and export markets. The figure represents a 73.95% year-on-year increase and a 42.69% growth compared to March 2026. This strong performance placed Leapmotor at the top position among Chinese NEV startups for both monthly sales and year-to-date deliveries.
From January to April 2026, Leapmotor achieved cumulative deliveries of 181,542 units, marking a 41.18% increase compared to the same period last year. The results further strengthen the company’s position as one of the fastest-growing electric vehicle manufacturers in China.
The record-breaking sales performance was largely driven by strong demand for Leapmotor’s latest EV models. The company officially launched the flagship SUV D19 on April 16, 2026, and the model secured more than 15,000 confirmed orders within just 15 days after launch.
Meanwhile, the B05 Ultra debuted on April 24 during the opening of the Beijing Auto Show 2026, while the B03X compact SUV had already been introduced on March 26. These new vehicle launches further strengthened Leapmotor’s competitive position across multiple EV market segments, including family SUVs, smart urban mobility vehicles, and premium electric crossovers.
After recording nearly 600,000 vehicle deliveries throughout 2025, Leapmotor is now aiming to achieve one million deliveries in 2026. The company continues to invest heavily in production capacity expansion, smart driving technology, battery innovation, and global market development. Supported by rapid technological advancement and a growing international presence, Leapmotor is positioning itself as a leading global smart EV brand.
In Indonesia, Leapmotor operates under PT Indomobil National Distributor as its official distribution partner. The partnership supports Leapmotor’s global expansion strategy while introducing the brand’s smart electric vehicle technology to Indonesian consumers. As electric vehicle adoption continues to grow across Southeast Asia, Indonesia is expected to become one of Leapmotor’s strategic markets in the region.
