WHEELDRIVE – JAECOO Indonesia demonstrated the capability of its Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology during Rinjani100 2026, one of Southeast Asia’s most demanding international trail running events, held from May 1–3, 2026 at Mount Rinjani National Park. Through the participation of the JAECOO J7 SHS-P Discover Edition and JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS, the brand reinforced its commitment to hybrid mobility, outdoor adventure, and sustainable sports tourism in Indonesia.

During the event, the JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS was deployed as the official lead car, supporting race operations across challenging off-road and mountainous terrain around Mount Rinjani. The presence of JAECOO’s premium hybrid SUV lineup highlighted the performance, stability, and efficiency of SHS technology under extreme driving conditions.

Rinjani100 2026 has been held annually since 2013 and is recognized globally as one of Indonesia’s premier ultra trail running competitions. This year’s event attracted 2,324 runners from 38 countries and featured race categories ranging from 12 km to 162 km.

The event is officially included in the UTMB qualifying standard, allowing participants to earn points toward the UTMB World Series in France. Rinjani100 is also part of the TorX Experience, providing finishers in the 100 km and 162 km categories with direct access opportunities to compete in the legendary Tor Des Geants ultra trail race in Italy.

Through its SHS vehicle lineup, including the JAECOO J7 SHS-P and JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS, JAECOO Indonesia emphasized that advanced plug-in hybrid vehicle technology can support both premium mobility and demanding outdoor lifestyles.

“Rinjani100 is a highly relevant platform for us to continue supporting the development of Indonesia’s sports tourism ecosystem while strengthening the spirit of exploration that defines JAECOO. Through the presence of the JAECOO J7 SHS-P and JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS, we want to demonstrate how hybrid technology and intelligent driving systems can deliver performance, stability, and efficiency across challenging terrains,” said Jim Ma.

The JAECOO J7 SHS-P Discover Edition was specifically developed for adventure-oriented lifestyles and outdoor activities. The SUV features a roof platform for extra cargo capacity, tactical storage boxes, side boxes, a hard-shell side awning for outdoor shelter, and a side ladder for easier roof access.
